The venue for the event is located about 15km east of the Uppsala city center on road 282. Uppsala central train and bus station can be reached from all the major airports in the region via bus or train. Specific instructions for reaching the Uppsala train station are given below, followed by instructions for reaching the site from Uppsala central station. Finally, for those arriving from within Sweden by car a short description of how to reach the site from the E4 motorway is provided. Please remember that some of you may need to show a passport to enter Sweden. Despite being an EU member Sweden has not joined the Euro so you will need to have some Swedish crowns (kronor) to pay for bus fares and other incidental expenses within Sweden, as well as the event fee if you are a foreign guest paying at the door.

Take the airport bus number 801 to Uppsala central station and then follow the instructions for reaching the site from Uppsala.

Uppsala to the Site

To reach the site from Uppsala central station you take bus 809 to the church at Funbo ("Funbo kyrka"), ask the driver to let you off there when you board the bus. The fare should be around about 30 SEK (3 euro). The trip from Uppsala to that stop takes about 15 minutes, and you should probably ring us and let us know what bus you are on so that we can drive down to the stop (about 5 minutes away by car) and collect you.

If you are arriving very late at night, for example in the evening from V\"{a}ster{\aa}s), let us know in advance so that we are prepared to collect you. In general for foreign guests it would be great if you send us your flight itinerary in advance so that we can plan pickups.

Driving instructions

Drive to Uppsala following the E4 motorway from either North or South until you reach a roundabout on the South side of Uppsala (you will need to pass the Uppsala South exit, the roundabout is the exit after Uppsala South). You exit the motorway up to this roundabout and exit left onto road 282 travelling east towards Almunge. Drive about 10 minutes until you pass the small villages of B\"{a}rby and Gunsta.

Directly after Gunsta you will see Funbo church (a white building) on the left hand side of the road. Directly after the church is a signposted side road to the right (signed "Marielund"). Turn right here and follow the road for about 3km crossing the railway line. You will come to another intersection (also signposted "Marielund") where you turn left. Follow this road through the farm at Marielund, bearing always to the left (do not follow the roads to Norredatorp or Odalg{\aa}rden) until you pass a community hall called "Mariehem" on your right hand side. After you pass "Mariehem" you will see a sign on the left hand side of the road "Haga" and a gravel road leading off to the left. Turn left onto this gravel road and bear right past the letterboxes until you see a white garage with a brown door in front of you. Marked parking areas will be visible.

SCA signs will be located at the intersections from Funbo church to the site, so we hope that you will easily find your way.
